I have a hosted database server, and a ASP.net app that connects to it.

How do I connect to the same DB using an IOS app? I need to obtain login credentials and perform a few inserts and updates on a few tables.

in the iOS end, I suggest you to create a web-api from asp.net and expose it to the iOS, instead of the mobile user trying to connect to SQL directly.

from iOS pass on the credentials to the web-api, and in the web-api (in your server), connect to SQL using the SQL Authenticaiton instead of the windows authentication, once you validated that the user using your api is a valid user.
