Hi I would like to request some assistance if any of the experts here have experienced the following issues on their Exchange 2013 deployment.

We have noticed that the exchange 2013 virtual machine is slow in sending and receiving emails. We did a health check and found the degraded issue in the logs that I have attached
below.

We have patched this server up and Exchange up with the latest patches already and are stuck as to what to do next. Operating system is on Windows 2012 R2. Please help if you can.

Also to add on. This is a single exchange server with all roles in one box.

Make sure your exchange server and iis installation folder excluded in antivirus scan.

Check any third party hub transport agent not installed on the exchange server.
If installed then disable agent and check the mail flow perfromance.

For info related hub transport agent refer below link:

Check with your exchange server throttling policy configuration. This might be affect your exchange server performance.

Exchange 2013 is not supported on 2012 R2 and won't be until SP1. This is one of several known potential issues and there is no fix. Just a pain point from running an unsupported configuration. You can just accept it, wait for SP1, ]or migrate to a supported platform.

Hi guys I found the solution via DNS. Apparently someone had put google's 8.8.8.8 as the third DNS entry in network properties - advance.
Once removed the emails were flowing as per normal but thanks for the heads up on the version compatibility and the troubleshooting tips.

This is because the main concern was the slowness of email delivery. Although the troubleshooting steps were helpful but it did not resolve the issue in the end.
