Using Hamachi with a laptop on a domain

I have a client with a laptop (Win 7 Pro) on a domain (Server 2008), and her documents folder is redirected to the server. Sync is on and appears to be syncing fine.

To get access to a single folder on the server, they are all running Hamachi VPN.  Working fine.

When she gets home, she logs onto the server and says (though I haven't seen this) that sometimes her documents aren't there, and "sometimes they come back later" etc.)

Is there a problem where Windows could be getting confused about its on-domain/off-domain status due to Hamachi, and therefore begin causing problems?  Anyone here using Hamachi on a domain?

It is pretty normal that the document in the redirected folder are missing or will appear later when the user do a vpn from home to connect to the corporated network as every network packet is encrypted and there is latency of the network traffic from the encryption.

There is no workarounds. You can either tell the user to copy the files to the local drive of the laptop or enable offline files with the redirected folder as it is not an on domain and off domain issue.

The other option is to ask the user to upgrade the Internet broadband at home to fiber optic if it is available.
