Hi

I am looking for  NAS drives for backups.
I would like the local NAS drive to be synced to a remote identical NAS drive.
To check the state of the 2 drives I would like to login into a single web page that talks directly to the 2 NAS boxes.

In other words I want to be able to check the 2 drives without having to connect to anything local to the NAS box locations.

The sync should be block level not file level ideally
I want to sync data backups

Cheap rather than fast
Does anyone know of anything suitable

Qnap have a range of relatively inexpensive NAS devices that have remote WAN replication capabilities.  I have used these before and find them very efficient.

You will choose certain files locally to replicate and then choose the destination files on the remote NAS.
Once you set the replication up you only need to look at the one NAS box to see the state of the other.

Last time I checked these were file-level replication devices but they can use Rsync so they will only copy changed files and not the entire folder contents everytime.
