ASP.net VB.net Refreshing a chart with update panels and Javascript

In an ASP.net VB.net Web app project how would you use update panels to reload a chart without refreshing the page and javascript to refresh chart on an interval.

So as a first step, add a chart and a button in an update panel. Then on button press, rebind the chart control to its data. We will then look into timer.
