PPRecDlag.dll missing

Hi, I'm trying to load a program called ScanSoft PaperPort Viewer on my XP machine and the installer stops and it says it can't find this file.  I've looked on the net but everybody seems to want to sell you a program to access it.  Is there a safe place to go to find it?

Which version of paper port you are trying to install. I hope the software came with you scanner.

Can you try installing from the original installation disc or image if you have created the backup.

Otherwise i guess paper port is now acquired by Nuance and you can download the trial version (latest) from below link

http://www.nuance.com/for-business/by-product/paperport/paperport-trial-download/index.htm

and then copy the file from inside the setup or after installing it.
