We are trying to figure out how to use the API to post on Google Plus not read. We can already do it with Facebook, Linkedin , and Twitter... but on Google Plus seems like we can only READ from profiles...not post. Any help?

Seems like they have this solution... but isn't the API to post free?

Technology is always advancing.

The API may be free on the Google side of things, but getting the code to work correctly with the Google API is the magic that lets NextScripts charge money for their technology.

Have you considered using AddThis?  I know exactly nothing about WordPress or AddThis, yet in an hour of Googling and reading AddThis documentation, I was able to integrate AddThis into a WordPress shortcode.

There may be some more information in the Google Plus Developer Community forum. And the Google+ Platform docs are available online.  FWIW, Google is a little late to the social-sharing game.  And that may be better or worse.  Their late arrival means that they can learn from Facebook and Twitter and Linked-In who have all struggled with online authentication and spam.  It also means that their barriers to entry will be higher than the other social media.
