CRM 4.0 Creating a New Attribute

I need to create an attribute for the account record that allows you to lookup user ids.
I have done this before but its been years and I cant remember :(
I have a field on the account record currently... called sales agent and it is a lookup of all of my crm users.  
I need to create another field just like that called service rep and it would also be a lookup of all of the users of our crm...
When I create a new attribute "lookup" is not a type available to me..
I believe, I have to create a mapping from the relationship (user - Account)  but I need to create the "service rep" field first.   RIGHT??

So my question is when I first create the new attribute, what "Type" do I choose?

You must create the relationship which creates the lookup attribute. You need to create a 1 to many relationship from user to account or a many to 1 relationship from account to user, both methods achieve the same result. In the relationship form you provide a name for the lookup.
