What are the better used apps for kids for educational purposes...maybe more like games.  Something that will keep keep 5 year old interest.

This is more on an Apple Air device.

Fit Brains is designed by a neuroscientist and becomes harder as the child develops.  Also there are Progress reports for the parents.  It does cost but well worth it. Both my grandchildren us it.
Little Writer. Helps improve writing skills and words.
