Hi there.  I have a joomla site and need to install GA conversion tracking on a couple of pages so not site wide.  Is there a free or paid plugin that can do that or which php page would I edit to add in an if else statement? Any ideas on that php script would be helpful too, thx.

this extension is good as it is a dashboard inside your Joomla site and you don't need to leave and go to Google.

it will monitor all pages and much more  but you just look at the stats of the pages you want to look at.  if you wanted to install the extension then mod the code to ignore the other pages, you could. but really what if a visitor  goes to a monitored page from a non monitored page?  you would want to know that. also how users traverse your site and which pages are key.
