Wireless Scanner Setup, WIndows 7 64bit HP Laserjet M1217nfw
weird problem
have a hp laserjet m1217 nfw MFP
trying to setup scanner via wireless
cannot get the system to see TWAIN device or even use the drivers
searching all over even on HP website cannot find instructions, not on CD that came with the system either!
all help is greatly appreciated

Have you installed the HP client program for manaing the scanner over the network?

no bbao I have not
my cd that came with the unit does not have a client program installation

You no need to physically own the CD for the HP client programs. They are all available at HP's support site.

like a utility for the scanner and it being wirelessly connected
thank you reach2sandeep but I have reviewed all those links and done ALL those things
the installation seems flawed from the CD; when we selected setup wirelessly, it still prompted to plugin the unit as if it were being installed via USB
great little printer for SMB office, but this wireless setup is maddening
Win XP 32bit worked fine; it setup without issue and scanning wirelessly from inside control panel scanners and devices was seamless! 64bit Windows 7 not so intuitive

after contacting HP found that scan utility was corrupt
once we used the ReadIris Downloader scanning worked fine!
