What specifically are you trying to do? You can attach a VHDX in disk manager. There is no such thing as. "Linux vhdx." But just like a physical hard drive, if your vhdx has partitions formatted in a way windows can't read, such as ext2, then you can't simply mount the partition as a windows resource any more than you could with a physical drive.

What methodology do you suggest me if disk manager will not give access to the files I want. I should mount this vhdx in another linux virtual machine?
Thanks.

You will have to mount the partition in an OS that can read ext3 then. A Linux VM or a windows VM with 3rd party drivers installed. A standard windows installation (VM or physical) cannot read ext3.
