Cannot see new ADMX template on Mgmt console with GPMC

I am running a w2k8 R2 AD domain with 2 DC's.

I am in the process of copying a new ADMX template for a customized GPO.  I have copied the file to the PolicyDefinitions directory on both DC's.  I do not have a centralized store because I only have two DC's anyway, so it did not seem to make much sense to create one.

I can access and edit the template just fine if I am using the GPMC while logged into the DC.  Unfortunately, our management workstation console do not see the new template.  Doe this mean I need to copy the new ADMX template into the directory of each Management workstation?  If the answer is 'yes' are there any consequences in the future?

Thanks

Yes, you must copy ADMX in all management workstation, alternatively you can rdp domain controller

It will not create any problem even if you copy admx and adml files on multiple management workstations

Because whatever settings you done, it will saved in GPO and even if any management workstation do not have that admx files, still settings will remains there in GPO, only you can't edit it from that management workstation

As you already stated , otherwise you need to setup GPO central store as every GPMC console 1st looks for GPO central store and if not found then fallback to local Policydefinations folder on that machine
