Outlook 2007 on exchange

My boss has this weird problem with his outlook. When he click contacts on the left navigation pane nothing happens. It doesn't show his contacts. His contacts are still there though because he can open a new email and go to the address book from there.

The other odd thing is that he has two computers with Outlook connected to the same account.  And they are both doing the same thing. So this must be a server side problem.

I'm not sure where to begin. I don't have access to the exchange server as this is personal email account. He is running Outlook 2007.

Any ideas?

Open Outlook go to contacts, right click / Outlook Address Book / make sure 'show this folder as an email address book' is checked. I would name it to something other than 'Contacts' I believe you're looking at the wrong 'Contact' folder when he chooses contacts while creating a new email.

Name it anything but 'Contacts' so you distinguish it from other 'Contact' options.
