See if your thumbnail icon cache is damaged

Right-Click 'Computer' > 'Open' > Right-Click your system drive >'Properties' > 'Disk Cleanup' button.  Only check "Thumbnails" > "Clean up system files" button.

This should recreate the icon cache on your PC

Are these network folders or local folders?

Is this happening on all folders or only some?

Which view have you selected in View Options?Win7 - Explorer - View Options (click for larger)
