I haven't bought dell computers for quite long, but dell price was unbeatable even comparing to custom built pc specs. Now looking at price, it's not cheap anymore and most of mainstream OS is still windows 7.
I was able to buy most recent OS with some specs for Vostro around $300 2 years back, now it seems like low price party is over..?

I have not seen any decent desktop computers for $300 anymore. One with Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, 4 to 8 Gb of memory, adequate hard drive and 3 years of warranty service is likely to cost $700 to $900.

@crcsupport - Thanks and I was happy to help. I looked up Dell to work on another question here and decent Dell machines were $600 and up. I did not see anything for $300.
