folks

i am new to asp.net, how do I create a front page, populate fieds and it writes to another page in asp.net?

essentially I am migrating from excel to asp and was keen how to get a spreadsheet feel in asp

You can easily create pages in ASP.NET, if you have installed Visual studio on your machine you can create normal ASP.NET website. Once website created add webform (.ASPX ) to that website, there you can put labels/text box etc.

By using database connection you can connect to database and populate fields fro there. If you want to send those fields to any other page you need to use some state management technique like session/querystring or application variables.

seems a bit more a of functional description u have given me, do u have a sample code or site I can look up to help me try and build this myself?
