Folks

How can I when a certain columns values get updated with the status "down" send an email out which copies that particular row's fields to a recipient

i.e.

item   url                        status
1      mysite.com            down
2      mypage.com            up

it should send an email to "Joe.blogs@yahoo.com"

saying subject "item 1 mysite is down"

only though when the status field gets updated(this is done by a maco(

Mr.rutgermons,

I have already one file which perform this kind of process which is created by Rob so I don't want any credit or points. it is just sake of solution. Need any kind of modification then I cant as I am VBA coder.

here is short description of attached file there is 4 Columns.
A                            B                               C                               D
Item                      URL                           Status                       eMail
1                            mysite.com              Up                            --
2                            mypage.com            Up                            --
3                            myblog.com             Down                     myblog.com is Down

So in D column formula is like this
=IF(C4="Down",SendMail(B4),"--")

& you have to change some part in VBA Code.

SendBuy

    addressTo = "abc@gmail.com"

SendMsg
        '<<<<< Change to suit user >>>>>>
