Hi experts

The attached spreadsheet contains a response total on sheet 'Chart' that is calculated from the row count of the 'Import' sheet not including the titles.  However, with the data included in the sample attached, there are 65 responses but it is only showing 34 on the 'Chart' worksheet cell 'I2'

Could someone help me correct this please?

Thaks

Hi gowflow

Yes, I know there are 65 responses when you look at the import sheet and crosscheck the totals across the columns, but on the 'Charts' worksheet, it only shows response total of 34.

In sheet Chart in Cell I2 it Is the number of Comments that you asked to be called Responses if you count them you have exactly 34.

I guess you want the number of Applicants who answered the test (could be that some may not necessarly had put comments) and these are 65

If you look at sheet Import 2 heading rows and total at row 68 this means
68-2-1 = 65

Shall we put in I3
Applicants 65

and in I2 we can change this to
Comments: 34

Pls advise

Hi gowflow

Aha, I see, apologies for the confusion.

Could we proceed as follows:
'Responses' in I2 and show the number of applicants
'Comments' in I3 and show the number of comments

Thanks

Hi

Is this the question, "Do you count blank lines a response ?" Are you talking about what we now know as 'comments'?  If so, the response can be calculated from the count of populated rows in the 'Import' sheet.  If not, can you explain further please?

If you will keep both no problem for me.

Ah, ok.  My boss agreed to purchase a business account as most of my posts are work related so all of my posts from now on will be from JCIE.  Having said that, I occasionally forget to login in with the correct account.

Thanks again
