you need to enable pop/imap support from global settings of zimbra admin panel. Then you can simply configure the same as you do for normal pop/imap accounts. It will work.

This comes under basic functionality hence doesn't require network edition at all.

Actually, there's a little more to it than that.  You also want to download the Zimbra Outlook Connector to allow Calendering connectivity.

Starting from the Zimbra Administration Console Home:
Click on Tools and Migration on the Left Sidebar
Click on Downloads on the Left Sidebar

Under the section Downloads for End Users, you should find the links for the 32 bit and 64 bit Zimbra Connector for Outlook.  Download those MSIs and put it somewhere easily accessible for you Outlook users, or yourself, to install.

To enable IMAP support, you should log onto your Zimbra Administration Console.

Starting from Home:
Click on Configure in the Left Sidebar
Click no Global in the Left Sidebar
Click on IMAP in the Left Sidebar
If you need POP, it's right below IMAP, but I don't enable that anymore.

Check the box to Enable IMAP
Check the box to Enable SSL for IMAP service
