Hi all,

Xenapp 6.5 farm Roll up fix 3
2008 R2 servers.

I have a small farm based our main HQ. I have configured and added another which is situated in an office in Germany. At the moment the users connect back to this site, but I would like them now to start using the new server.

Can someone explain how I do this so that they connect to there local server first and fail over to HQ if that's not available. And for all HQ users not to try and connect to the German server.

Hope this makes sense.

as explained by sekarc4u ... create a new zone within XenApp, add the german servers to these zone.
But the old "Zone-preferenz and failover" don't exist within XenApp6.5

You have to build a workergroup for Germany and one for HQ.
Build a loadbalancing-rule with the following settings:
- Client-IP-address = HQ -- Workergrouppreferenz = HQ-workergroup
- Client-IP-address = german-Office -- Workergrouppreferenz = Germany-workergroup
you should add the other workergroup with lower priority for failover - access.
Publish the apps over all servers...

this should work...
