Remote Desktop 8 stand-alone file(s)?

I'm on a Windows 7 client PC without admin privileges (without ability to install programs...).

Is a Remote Desktop 8 client (optimized for connecting to a Windows 8 PC server ) available for use in this PC?

The builtin-one is the best you can get and is as good as the one built into 8.

Sorry, this possibility of yours is neither a stand alone client, nor is it legal to use it. But the choice is yours.

It's a stand-alone client (tested today) and there's an official RDP 8 update for Windows 7 clients.

Don't get me wrong, but this is funny.
What you have to do is nothing. The update installs via windows updates, automatically by default. So my answer "the built-in one is the best you can get" was true.
The selected "solution" is illegal (we may not import files of another OS without owing a license) and also unnecessary for reasons given.
