There is an intellisense already built into Eclipse... maybe you need to reset defaults?

couple of things to try...

Go to Windows / Preferences / Content Assist

Then click on "Restore Defaults"
Go to Windows / Preferences / Content Assist / Advanced
Then click on "Restore Defaults".
By default the content assist (or intellisense) is triggered when you type a period.

When you are Searching ... you just have to make sure you are using the right tab for what you want to do.

Do you start search from the menu bar or from CTRL-F?  What is a typical example of something you are trying to find that is not working well for you?

Hi I normal search for the usage of a certain method but with eclipse

1) I get the search result just the first of that page.
2) then i have to use another search to get to all search for that page.
3) I have to repeat #1 to get to the next page

If i use resharper it show me the search for the whole project.

for searching for a Method...

Try hitting CTRL-H... then select "method".... see attached screenshot.

I suspect that eclipse already has what you need... it's probably just a matter of getting used to it.

You can also get to it from the toolbar.

From the Search menu item on the toolbar... you have choices of

Search...
File...
Java...

Choose "Java..." and you'll get that same dialog box.

You can also choose to search for fields, type, Constructor, Package etc.
