Blackberry SRP Keys

Hi,

I am hoping that someone can clarify something for me.  I currently have a BES 5 server, with all the devices running on Vodafone.  We are looking to move all of our devices to another provider.  I have read conflicting information.  The BES SRP ID and licences are not carrier specific and can move from one network to another, as the BES sends the data out across to the network to Blackberry itself, which then forwards the data on via PIN.

So, for us to move from one carrier to another, we just need to have new devices, on the new network, with a BES contact on the handheld device.

I have also been told that I need to rebuild my BES, with a new SRP ID.

I believe that I just need to change the handhelds, but would just like someone to confirm that for me.

Thanks.

Hi PlatformIT,

Your BES and SRP keys are network independent. Change your provider, change your handsets, keep the BES unchanged.

Mike
