I added an image on my SP2010 page and hyperlinked it to a location so when the image is clicked it will take the user to another location.

Questions...

1. How the heck do I get rid of he box around the picture identifying it as a hyperlink?

2. If I use image viewer how do you hyperlink an image in that format?

1. In picture tools on the ribbon Select Image Style-> No Border
2. You don't. Put the image in a CEWP.

You can also get issues due to custom CSS on the site. Is there any custom branding/styling?
