A old user appears in All Users but not showing up in GAL

Hi Exchange Experts,

Just found out that one of the old users appear in All users list but in GAL.

My environment: Exchange 2010 SP3 RU 4

I tried the following already and it still does not show up:

1) EMC-> Organization Config->Mailbox->OAB->Update
2) Downloaded the GAL OAB on the client
3) Issued the following PS commands:
Get-GlobalAddressList | update-GlobalAddressList
Get-AddressList | update-AddressList
Get-OfflineAddressBook | Update-OfflineAddressBook
Get-ClientAccessServer | Update-FileDistributionService

Even after 24 hours I don't see the user in GAL.

Any help would be appreciated.

We had a similar problem after a domain migration. See if this is the issue you are having.

Thank you gdwerell. That resolved my issue.

1) I modified the email address on the general tab of AD user to match the primary SMTP address set in Exchange.
2) EMC->GAL->Update
3) Update-filedistributionservice -identity "server name"
4) Downloaded the GAL OAB in client

Now I can see user in GAL.
