Hi Exchange Experts,

Just found out that one of the old users appear in All users list but in GAL.

My environment: Exchange 2010 SP3 RU 4

I tried the following already and it still does not show up:

1) EMC-> Organization Config->Mailbox->OAB->Update
2) Downloaded the GAL OAB on the client
3) Issued the following PS commands:
Get-GlobalAddressList | update-GlobalAddressList
Get-AddressList | update-AddressList
Get-OfflineAddressBook | Update-OfflineAddressBook
Get-ClientAccessServer | Update-FileDistributionService

Even after 24 hours I don't see the user in GAL.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

We had a similar problem after a domain migration. See if this is the issue you are having.

Thank you gdwerell. That resolved my issue.

1) I modified the email address on the general tab of AD user to match the primary SMTP address set in Exchange.
2) EMC->GAL->Update
3) Update-filedistributionservice -identity "server name"
4) Downloaded the GAL OAB in client

Now I can see user in GAL.

Much appreciated.
