With Thunderbird it is possible to export e-mails to disc.
Say I do this and export 100 e-mails and then delete the folder (and e-mails it contains) from Thunderbird.  Now I have 100 files in a folder on the disc as eml files.
Is it possible to create a new folder in Thunderbird AND then import the 100 files into it - so they appear they were before I deleted them.

Thanks.  That sounds interesting but a comment seems rather negative.
I'll give it a try and get back.

It seems to work, a little fussy when importing folders with sub and sub sub folders but after restarting thunderbird it imported everything apparently correctly.
