The user profile serviced failed the sign in. The user profile cannot be loaded.

Hi.  I have a Server 2012 that I am attempting to log into with a newly created domain admin user.  I get the following error:

"The user profile service failed the sign in.  The user profile cannot be loaded."

I have seen this before and resolved this same issue with a standard user account on a computer not joined to a domain (Windows 7).   As a result, I am aware of the Microsoft KB article that references Windows 7 and/or Windows Vista and the two profile paths in Registry Editor for the one user account and having to manipulate the value on one of them to correct the issue, etc.

I have, however, not seen this issue on a Server in a domain environment as it relates to a domain user.  When I view the profile paths in Registry Editor, I do not see this domain admin profile path listed in there so I gather it did not create the user profile at all yet at first logon.  What gives?  And any documentation or articles relating to Server 2012 with this issue?

Go into the Advanced Security Settings (right click on folder > properties > security > ) for the C:\Users\Default folder and checking the box to "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object"

This worked.  Thank you.

I was able resolve this by copying the Default user folder from a like server and overwriting the Default user folder on the server having the issue.
