Hi:

I'm a newbie to Java, Linux Spring Tool Suite development.

I have a Linux Mint 16 VM.
We are building our application using the Spring Tool Suite.

How do I download and install the Hibernate ORM library to that environment?

Thanks,
JohnB

Start with the following (substitute apt-get for aptitude if it doesn't like it)

sudo aptitude update
sudo apt-cache search hibernate

You might find that brings back (amongst other things)

libhibernate3-java

If so, you can then

sudo aptitude install libhibernate3-java
