How do you plan to optimize VoIP over the WAN with a Cisco WAVE appliance? Not sure it's really designed for that. It's more for application optimization over the WAN.<br />

Basically, the WAVE optimizes the WAN in general by economizing bandwidth. I guess by economizing bandwidth you have more to use for VoIP communication. But that's about the extent of optimizing VoIP over the WAN with a Cisco WAVE appliance.<br />

If you're looking for improved VoIP quality over the WAN then that's a combination of private and carrier side QoS. I'd talk to your carrier about implementing QoS on the WAN link.<br />

Yes I think the intention is to optimize the bandwidth so that the WAN has enough bandwidth for VoIP traffic. Is there any tutorial on the WAVE. I'd like to see the interface and how it works. Thanks
