I am using a Western Digital DX4000 Storage Server, running Windows Server 2008 R2 Essentials software.
      Using the Dashboard of the Western Digital DX4000 Storage Server, I attempted to set up Remote Web Access.  I succeeded in setting up the router, but when I attempted to set up the Domain Name, I received the attached error message.

It means that the settings in the web.config is preventing you from seeing the full error message. Changing the config file will allow you to see the full error message.

If you can remote onto the server using the Remote Desktop Connection, you will need to locate the web site (by default websites are in c:\inetpub\wwwroot) and update the web.config file using just notepad.

Then update the line to:
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm" />
and save it. Then try the site again.
