Undelivered message in Lotus Domino

Hi can someone please tell me how do I get those message delivered (see picture attached).
We have the lotus notes client ver 9 with Domino 8.5.2 FP3

What else should I check?

Yes, I have tried but they are still held and not release. I have opened up the message and it is a straight forward from one email address to another where the receiver end is a gmail account.

I mean I can delete it but they are actually couple of important email that got held up too and all I want is for it to deliver. So frustrating......sigh.
what was the reason the messages were not delivered in the first place?  If that issue has not been resolved, resending them wil just fail again.

What Lars is implying:
- check the log.nsf database for Errors or Warnings (Gmail refuses parties that are considered spammers)
- find out why connections are failing (are your Connection documents correct, what has changed lately?)
- send a test mail yourself to one of the addresses, or to your own Gmail address

After you make all checkings recommended by other experts can you do the following .

- Click the "server" tab .
- Click the " Server Console"
- Type the following command ... tell router q
-After the router shutsdown .. type this command .. load router .

Where do the mails come from?

External email addresses should not be able to send mails out of your Domino server to the internet.

Is it only mails to gmail.com that fails to deliver?

Sorry for the late reply. I have been away and just got back last week.

I have tried stopping and starting the router. That didn't make a difference. Thanks for the suggestion.

Some of these mails were forwarded from users' account to their personal account externally. Other were normal legit email sending to external address (in bulk).

Anyway, I have the latest update...after trying to find out if there is any change or upgrade recently to our network and the answer is YES. I was informed by our Cisco admin that there was an Cisco upgrade and the time line matches the issue and since the changes were made, that explained why those messages were not delivered previously.

I have since contacted Lotus Support and they have provided me with a solution. They have asked our Cisco admin to Disable ESMTP inspect on Cisco ASA firewall and after that, all message held were delivered.
