Automatically backing up SharePoint 2010

MS SharePoint 2010 has a backup and restore tool.  We use this a lot, however I can't seem to find a place to schedule the backup to run.

Does this exist?

Hi,

Use below line for batch file and schedule the Job using windows task scheduler.

----------------------------------
cd "c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\14\BIN"

stsadm -o setsitelock -url http://sps.abc.com -lock readonly

stsadm -o backup -url http://sps.abc.com -filename D:\Backup\Sharepoint2010\Backup_%date:~-4,4%%date:~-7,2%%date:~4,2%.bak -overwrite

stsadm -o setsitelock -url http://sps.abc.com -lock none
