I currently have a Lync 2010 environment that I took over managing.

It has a single Lync 2010 Director Server and a single Lync 2010 Mediation Server.
It has a Pool for 3 Front End Servers.

I need to know the steps or MS supporting documentation to do the following:

1). Add a Second Lync 2010 Director Server and create a Director Pool

2) Add a second Lync 2010 Mediation Server and create a Mediation Pool

The Voice traffic is handled by Cisco Call Manager environment.

Thank you

this is for Lync2013 - but the same goes for Lync 2010

mediation pool:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398391.aspx

here, still Lync2013 - but still very much the same:
http://exchangepro.dk/2013/09/21/creating-the-lync-server-2013-ha-topology-part-6/

And the PSTN gateway (Cisco) you need to disconnect from Mediation before uninstalling, and reconnect after installing.

in short
add director pool in topology builder, add which servers is part of the pool, run lync deployment wizard on all new servers. remember to assign certs :-)
remove stand alone director from topology in topology builder. Run lync deployment wizard on director server. reboot

same goes for Mediaiton
