problem with firewall
Hi Guys,
I am having a massive issue with my firewall (or maybe its my isp) is there anyway to check??
I have two networks and one of them my mail server sits on, and it wont coneect to any other mail server or smart hosts, i am unable to ping them or even telnet...
but i can from the other network, the network that i cant ping from i am able to browse the internet no problem, but i cant even ping 8.8.8.8 i am using a cisco asa 5510
My biggest issue is sending mail though...

So which network works and which does the mail server sit?
ASKER
it sits on the the 192.168.20 net work....its on the LAN
ASKER
the ip address of the mail server is sitting on 192.168.20.1 and if i set a laptop up with the ip address of the same i cant connect to my smarthost? but i can connect to the smarthost with any other ip address?
Which network is the one that you state is working?
ASKER
om the same network......
In your access-list LAN-WAN can you try first removing the line that references the mail server.
no access-list LAN-WAN extended permit ip object-group mailserver any
It should match the first line anyway, but just to weed this line out anyway.
