Linkedin app cluttered my contacts on my Android device

Linkedin gave me some crap answer "Unfortunately, at this time we do not have the functionality available to undo the synchronization process. Your feedback has been sent to our research and development team for future consideration."

It sounds like even if I deleted the app, the glut of unnecessary contacts will still be on the phone.  In my perfect world, it would update existing contacts on the phone with pictures and relevant contact info.   I hate for it to add unnecessary glut of Linkedin contacts and yet it has.  Anyone, worked with this problem?  Is it all or nothing with regards to the contacts?

Correct.  LinkedIn tends to add it's own contacts to the phone itself. If you were looking for something to maybe just update the existing, or add data to the existing, Sync.me would be a more viable option as it allows you as the user to choose what details you want, and what profile (facebook, linkedin, VKontakte) to pull from.   https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.syncme.syncmeapp

It even syncs whenever they update their contact photo, etc.  Have a look, as it may be what you're looking for exactly.
