We have a FAS 2020 with an aggregate with 2 failed drives.  It is a Double Parity RAID.

They are SAS 15k 300gb drives.  I have the replacement drives but need to know the steps to replace these.  I am not having any luck finding documentation to replace the drives and repair the RAID

You need to ensure you know exactly which drives have failed. You have no margin for error here. Simply remove one failed drive, and insert its replacement then do the other.

The array will rebuild itself.

So, I do not need to do any config on the filer at all just take drives out and put new drives in and it will auto rebuild ?

Thanks

If the drives show up in "sysconfig -r" output as FAILED, but the lights on the front of the drives are still flashing green should I not issue the Fail command before removing the drives??  Or any other commands for that matter?
