ie8 ie9 not being responsive

We have developed a css script that is responsive and % designed. it works right on chrome and firefox, but when we get to ie8 and ie9, it loses the css and it's no longer responsive to % design and media-query and our slider freezes.

may i please have a solution, we have tried everything. please check out our domain

Not seeing it

IE8 both in IE8 and IE7 Standards mode resizes as expected - kyak picture remains center of page and reduces.

Firefox on the other hand - once screen gets below certain size relocates image off to the right.

Can you give steps to replicate.

Personally I wouldn't waste too much time on IE - it has such a small percentage of the market and doesn't run on mobile devices - so if you are concerned about those then IE shouldn't be on the radar (at least not for 8 and 9 - windows mobile won't be running these anyway)

IE8 not styling the menu correctly but the rest seems correct.

i would like to know why isn't it reading my css correctly... and is they a way to go around this issue?
