Amplifier and smartphone

Is there anyway a smartphone can be connected to an amplifier for audio through a smartphone ?

For example, we have an amplifier in one of our business rooms and would like to occasionally connect it to a smartphone for certain audio to be amplified from the phone if possible.

All you need is the proper audio lead between the two devices.

The lead should be a 3.5mm stereo audio jack (inserted into the smartphone earphones jack)
CONNECTED TO:
Two RCA phono/stereo jack connectors (connected to the AUX Input on the amplifier)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cable-Tex-3-5mm-Phono-Stereo-Audio/dp/B0038K65MQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393410950&sr=8-1&keywords=3.5mm+to+rca

When you connect the lead, set the amplifier volume to zero and start the audio in the smartphone. Then gradually increase the volume on the amp. You could also experiment, by using the TAPE and CD inputs on the amp.

The PHONO input has very high amplification and will probably be too sensitive.
