How do I easily identify updates and install updates for sharepoint 2013?

Seems to me there isn't anywhere that does just a check and has a download/install option for sharepoint 2013.

Any help is appreciated.

You won't find a quick and easy "scan and download" option anywhere.

You need to know your current build version, from System Settings - Servers in Farm in Central Admin.

You can then reference a list similar to this one to see where you are and what newer updates are available.
