We just setup a 2008 Remote Session Host server and we are getting this error when we sign in as Network administrator.

Licenses are not available for this Remote Desktop Session Host Server and its counting down 100 days to get it resolved.

We ended up Changing the the RDP server name after installing the licence. Is there a way to unlicence it and re licence it to the new server name?

I don't use SBS but I've never had a problem renaming a 2008 terminal server or license server. Is this 2008 R2 or 2008 ?

Can you open the admin tool "Terminal Services Configuration" and under Licensing click "License Server Discovery Mode". Make sure you specify the name of the TS License server here, whether it is itself or another machine.

From your TS license machine, open up the admin tool "TS Licensing manager". Under the main heading "All Servers" does your license server appear and with the correct name.  If not, right click on the "All Servers" and pick "Connect". Enter the name of your terminal license server.

Its not TS License aymore . Its RD Desktop. When I go to the RD Licensing Manager it shows the correct Server Name.  But when I go to the host Configuration under Licensing Diagnosis it shows the Name of the old server.  Its almost like the Servername is right but the Licensing is configured for the old server.

So it's just an RD server and the licensing service is on another machine?
See my screenshot. In RD Host Configuration under "Remote Desktop License Servers" did you specify the name of the server that has your terminal license service running on it?
