Error persisting message in JMS

I hace a customer who has intermittent failures with their application processes due to JMS errors. The error is:

weblogic.jms.common.JMSException: weblogic.messaging.kernel.KernelException: Error persisting message
      at weblogic.jms.dispatcher.DispatcherAdapter.convertToJMSExceptionAndThrow(DispatcherAdapter.java:110)
      at weblogic.jms.dispatcher.DispatcherAdapter.dispatchSyncTran(DispatcherAdapter.java:53)
      at weblogic.jms.client.JMSProducer.toFEProducer(JMSProducer.java:1065)
      at weblogic.jms.client.JMSProducer.deliveryInternal(JMSProducer.java:688)
      at weblogic.jms.client.JMSProducer.sendInternal(JMSProducer.java:461)
      at weblogic.jms.client.JMSProducer.send(JMSProducer.java:358)
      at weblogic.jms.client.WLProducerImpl.send(WLProducerImpl.java:997)
      at com.kana.ebiz.queue.JMSQueueHandler.enqueueTextMessage(Unknown Source)
Caused by: weblogic.jms.common.JMSException: weblogic.messaging.kernel.KernelException: Error persisting message
      at weblogic.jms.dispatcher.Request.handleThrowable(Request.java:63)
      at weblogic.jms.dispatcher.Request.getResult(Request.java:51)
      at weblogic.messaging.dispatcher.Request.wrappedFiniteStateMachine(Request.java:895)
      at weblogic.messaging.dispatcher.DispatcherImpl.dispatchSyncTran(DispatcherImpl.java:196)
      at weblogic.jms.dispatcher.DispatcherAdapter.dispatchSyncTran(DispatcherAdapter.java:51)

Any thoughts as to what might cause this? Our standard procedure is to have the customer clean out their JMS tables in the db as part of a restart, and this resolves the immediate issue, but never explains what the overall cause is?

The customer is running WLS version 10.0 against SQLServer 2005

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
