The programming model for Office 365 is pretty different, as you can't have Full Trust solutions. The new development model is 'Apps' which are largely based on Javascript, HTML, CSS3, and REST.

The new model means that any C# you write would not be deployed into SharePoint, but on other machines that you control, calling into SharePoint REST interfaces.

For look and feel changes, you can create Sandbox solutions that contain declarative XML to make changes. Also Design Manager is a possibility.

"would not be deployed into SharePoint"

Excellent ! straight forward !

'SharePoint REST interfaces"

REST is the designed for Sharpoint API that let the rest of the world programm it?

So one thing, I really want to know the real diff between full edition Sharepoint 2013 and the hosted sharepoint in office 365 ?
