change combobox.Style using code

How can I change the combobox Style using code?  I am trying with the following with no success:

YAT.Combo13.Style = "0 - Dropdown Combo"

The Style property is read-only at run time.
You could use two combo boxes in the same location with one visible and the other not, switching them around as necessary.
