Have customer that has forgotten Mac admin password
Have a customer that has a MacBook running OS X 10.6.8. She changed her admin password, and then promptly forgot it. Is there anyway to recover it or reset it without having to reinstall the whole OS? She does have the reinstall disks.
If you no longer have a disk, you can boot into single user mode.
Hold Command+S when you boot.
fsck -fy
mount -uw /
passwd USER_NAME
