Is it safe to reset the local Administrator Password on an Exchange 2003 server
Is it safe to reset the local Administrator's password on an Exchange 2003 server. The server is running Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2. I have never "forced" any services to run as a User like Administrator.
As stupid as this sounds, I misplaced the password ... literally torn apart my room looking for it! We are test recovering it and needed to run chkdsk to bring it up from an Acronis backup.
So just in case we need it in real life due to a crash, I would like to set it to something I know!
Thank you

Thank you so much for the quick answer! Disabling the account for a few days to see if there are any issue is an excellent idea. I never would have thought of that, brilliant idea.
Thank you again for your help.
