ssrs report grouping question

Hello,

I need to group a report in a way that looks like this

Account|GL|Amount
               TOTAL X
                X    X
                Total  X

I know that I can get ssrs to build something similar with report builder, but I don't know how to do it so that the unique GL field will appear on the same line as account if the account only has one instance.

Did you grouped by account in Report builder?
You need to add grouping by account and have a subtotal line in your report for that group.
In Report Builder if you create a group within the report, SSRS automatically adds subtotals for the groups. Just make sure the "Show Subtotals" option is selected when you right click on the group row in design view.

Hi, so that mostly works, the problem I am having is the sub total it creates goes on the same line as the account, but not at the bottom.  Can I put the sub total outside of the parent group or do I need to add a row that is inside the parent group, but not the details group for the subtotal?  I'm not sure if report builder is capable of building this exactly this way

"Can I put the sub total outside of the parent group"
Do you mean the Grand Total of all accounts? That should be outside if you added it to the report. The subtotal per Account must be shown as a line after that "account group"

I mean the line subtotal.  It is going like this

Account            sub total of all gl amounts
                Gl     individual gl amount
                Gl     individual gl amount

I'd like to move that sub total to the bottom of so it would look like this

Account   Gl     individual gl amount
                Gl     individual gl amount
                             sub total of gl accounts

I just needed to put another row outside group to be able to sub total on the initial group by after the detail section
