I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

create an index.htm file in the root directory of the website with the following code in it
<html>
 <header>
  <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0"; URL="http://192.168.168.1/Start">
 </header>
</html>

Open in new window

or or could use "/Start" instead of "http://192.168.168.1/Start"

this will redirect it to stating page

<html>
 <header>
  <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0"; URL="http://192.168.168.1/Start">

HTML5 and CSS3 Fundamentals

Build a website from the ground up by first learning the fundamentals of HTML5 and CSS3, the two popular programming languages used to present content online. HTML deals with fonts, colors, graphics, and hyperlinks, while CSS describes how HTML elements are to be displayed.

Are you using IIS?

for IIS7

Open IIS manager
go to the website in question
make sure you are in Features View
Double-Click; default documents
check that index.htm is there

if not, click Add and add it, move it to the top

HuaMin ChenProblem resolverAuthor Commented:
Yes,

C:\inetpub\VS2012

is the place on which I deploy all the projects, and I have the file "index.htm" that is having

<html>
 <header>
  <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0"; URL="http://192.168.168.1/Start">
 </header>
</html>

Open in new window

within the same folder.
