JQuery bluImp Upload plugin and database

I'mtrying to implement the bluImp  jQuery-File-Upload plugin in a site and all it's working fine except for the database integration: simply, data are not inserted in the database. No error, no warning.

As you can see I followed almost strictly the setup suggested in the following url:

The only thing I've changed is that I don't need title and description fields, so I  avoided to set those fields.

I tried to setup an email alerting system placing mail() calls through the index.php and UploadHandler.php but I receive only one email sent by the UploadHandler __construct method. Those I should have received from, for instance, the handle_file_upload method in the CustomUploadHandler class built in index.php have not been sent.

index.php is a standard file of the plugin (if you need more info about, feel free to ask)

Please, help me to get it working.

Line 21 of your main.js file - shouldn't you be changing that to your server URL?

No: both 'server' and 'php' are subfolder of the main folder of the plugin...
I downloaded and installed the library and then made alterations according to the link you gave in your openeing post - all worked as inspected.

On further investigation I noticed this in your index.php file line 55-59

I supsect line 56 should be 'sis' i.e.

You are trying to bind 5 params to 3.

I was able to emulate the problem by leaving the sisss in - record failed because mysqli threw an error.

If you look in your Console you should be able to see the return from the AJAX post - if any errors occurred in code they should be displayed there. So if the above does not yield results then try looking in the returned POST to see if there is an error.

As I said - worked out of the box here.
Damn! Nothing to do: file are correctly uploaded, but no data is inserted into the db. The bad thing is that I can't debug by myself because script doesn't send email with the query, the error and so on...
Unfortunately, Firebug doen't show any error: the response and the json are right, with file name, size and type as expected and without any error: I suspect the methos to insert data in the database is not called (this could explain why I don't recieve email from within the handle_file_upload method, for instance). What I'm missing is why those methods are not called...

Does the folder have write permissions?
Well, as I suspected the handle_file_upload method simply is never executed. In the log file I find

So at least I knoe the problem isn't in the query or in the code fo that method. Now I have to understand why that method isn't called... Any idea?

I got it and I feel very stupid. The problem was in my directory structure: to avoid to replicate all css and js of the responsive layout in the plugin directory, to upload files I used a page in the root dir and to make it work I copied the server folder out of the plugin root directory,  but then... I worked onthe files within the original server/php folder instead of in copied ones!

Maybe you can suggest a way to make my upload page located in document_root work with the plugin files located in document_root/upload folder?

Anyway, thank you very mutch: your help made me look at the right direction and I'm happy to see my usual way to debug (I usually use log files too, something similar to your mylog() method) is used even by more skilled developers!
