I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Good luck!!!!!

Seriously, SAP is a big beast and can easily get out of control if not managed correctly.

I'd say the key to a successful implementation is to employ the right consultants that definitely know the system inside out, and if possible phase it in over as long a period as you can.

Than being said, it is a very good and can be a very powerful system, but again has to be done right!

Its hard to, to be honest, as SAP is so big (or can be anyway) that no two implementations are the same, and every  installation has different needs/issues

Maybe if you can tell me more about what you are planning to do and what SAP modules you are looking at using, and some about the makeup of the business I might be able to give more info.
